A Melon, Teal and Eggplant Combo - Yum! Yum! - Just Add Ink Challenge 19

Whooooaaaaah I hear you yell - two posts in one day!!!! Will it snow tomorrow????

Well I told you I was getting my craft on! I have made a few promises to myself since returning to convention- one I have already mentioned- that I will get an award at next year's convention. The other is to spend more time stamping for myself and not just for my inkyloulou business. Before I went away the only stamping I was doing was for cards, etc that people had ordered and as much as I LOVE doing that I also think it is important to do some things just for me. One of my favourite things has been entering the Just-Add-Ink Challenges and for far too many week's I just didn't find the time to enter anything. Soooo here I am back stamping for myself and entering JAI Challenge 19.

This week the girls have set a colour challenge using the following colours:

And this is my entry:

What do you think??? I actually really love it. It combines my three favourite things at the moment: Melon Mambo (card, ribbon & ink); Handmade paper flowers and the Two-Step Bird Punch. I'm not quite sure why the Taken With Teal Ink looks so much lighter than the cardstock though. Here are a couple of closer look photos:

(All supplies from Stampin Up unless stated)
Eastern Blooms & Vintage Vogue Stamp Sets
Melon Mambo; Taken With Teal; Elegant Eggplant; Whisper White cardstock
Melon Mambo; Taken With Teal; Elegant Eggplant Ink; Versamark
Melon Mambo Polka-Dot Ribbon; Stampin Pastels
Two-Step Bird Punch; Scallop Edge Punch; Paper piercing tool; Rhinestones (non-SU)

Well that is all from me tonight- it's late. It's going to be a lovely, sunny day in Perth tomorrow so Elliot and I are going to meet some friends we haven't seen for a long while at the park. Before I go though I almost forgot to show you these photos I took today of my little darling doing some stamping of his own. How cute is that?!?!?!

Sydney- Woweeee!!!!

Hello!!! I'm back!!! Back posting on my blog....Finally! And back from the most awesome trip to Sydney for the 2010 Stampin' Up Convention! I had THE best time.

The convention was so much more than I expected and that is saying something as I had been looking forward to it for months. From the venue, to the people, to the presentations, to the make and takes- everything was amazing!!! I learned so much while I was there- all useful, exciting and inspiring. Saw and collected some fabbo swaps and projects. Pocketed four lovely new stamp sets all for free- yippee!!!. Got the chance to meet and spend time with some wonderful, talented, inspiring people and just generally have the very best of times. And when I wasn't stamping I got chance to have a look and a shop around Sydney, eat some yummy food and hang out with some cool new friends. Oh and be evacuated from my hotel twice in the middle of one night along with hundreds of other tired stampers- hahaha!!!

I came home feeling excited, inspired, rejuvinated and very much looking forward to Regionals and next year's convention......Melbourne....Woo Hoo!!!! I have made a promise to myself that next year I will be toddling along that stage collecting some sort of award- so watch this space!!!

So some piccies to share of my little mini-trip:

The bridge itself (had to get the touristy bits in)

My swap card (I managed to get 40 of these babies finished even though I was dying prior to leaving Perth)

The cutest little convention survival bags that my upline Sarah Klass made for us all

The gorgeous and lovely Sarah Klass, Sarah Jane Kale and me

My wonderful new very best stamping buddy, Hayley and I at the Awards evening

Members and honourary members of the A Klass Act Team up on stage after the Awards evening

I feel like a kid who has just returned from an awesome school camp. It really was so much fun and I am looking forward now to using and sharing all that I learned. It's time to get my craft on!!!!

Deary, deary me!!! Where did the last month go????

Hello out there to anyone who is still checking my blog. I wouldn't be surprised if there is no one left checking in. And can I blame you??? It has been a month and a day since I last posted anything. I really can't believe it has been that long. Really, where does the time go???? I was told last night, by some special friends (***Hi Ali and Tanya***) That they have stopped checking my blog because I never post anymore- so here I am girls- a post for you!!! I won't make any promises like I did in my last couple of posts or any excuses (I have been very busy and had a very sick little boy though- hahaha) but I will try - I really will- to blog some more because I am creating just not posting.

So last night I held my first workshop since the beginning of December- in fact only my 3rd workshop EVER and it was so much fun!!! Thank you Ali for hosting it for me. I tried out some new things and I think it went really well. And as an added bonus the very, very, super talented Tanya Tahir (see her blog HERE) who was a guest at the workshop is now going to be part of my monthly stamp club. Yay Tanya!!!!

I'm not going to show you in this post what we made last night even though they are super cute because I think I may be going to make another 40 of them (yes that's right FORTY) to take with me, along with 40 cards, to swap at the Stampin Up! Convention in Sydney next week. Oh I haven't mentioned yet - I AM GOING TO THE SU CONVENTION IN SYDNEY NEXT WEEK!!!! I am super excited can you tell!!!????!!!

So I won't show you those things until I make my mind up but I will show you a few things that I have made in the last week or so using all my new goodies from the Autumn/Winter Mini Catalogue. Here they are:
