A little bird and some petals - JAI Challenge 12.

Finally I'm back. I have definitely had a little blogging holiday haven't I??? With Easter, weddings, birthdays and a brief loss of mojo my blog took a big back seat. For the first time since Just-Add-Ink started up I missed a challenge last week. Funny that it was the 'Create anything...using anything' week and I created absolutely nothing. Oooops!!!!

Well enough about that- I am back and playing with this week's Just-Add-Ink Challenge!!! This week it is a lovely sketch challenge. Here it is:

I am so so happy with my card for the challenge- in fact I am going to go as far as to say I love it. I have been wanting to use this little birdy in the cage (from the Happy Moments Sale-A-Bration set) for forever and finally I have. Funny seeing as Sale-A-Bration has just ended! Anyway I wanted to make a really pretty card using the bird cage, flowers and my new Rich Razzleberry card, ink and ribbon and Cottage Wall DSP- so TA DA here it is:

Bird and Petals Card Ingredients

Stamp sets: Happy Moments; Petal Pizzazz; Eastern Blooms; Simply Said
Card/Paper: Pale Plum; Rich Razzleberry; Whisper White
Ink: Rich Razzleberyy; Pale Plum; Pink Pirouette; Old Olive
Other: Rich Razzleberry ribbon; Scallop Edge Punch; Paper Piercing Tool & Mat Pack; Flower Fusion; Designer Buttons; Half Pearls (non-SU); White thread (non-SU).

Note: I got the idea for the heart behind the bird cage from one of Nicki Tidbold's cards which you can see HERE.
Thanks so much for popping by to have a look (hopefully there will be no more blog or challenge holidays from me ;) )

I love the idea of stamping the heart image behind the birdcage. Stunning card with the flowers and ruffled ribbon down the side.

Fantastic layering, Louise. The birdcage goes so well Rich Razzleberry. I think I'll be using the birdcage for a while yet!

This is stunning. I don't do purple very well myself, but looking at this card has inspired me! Love your blog Louise! You are so talented, always been an admirer of your work from way back when we used to go to those crops together. So glad you have a blog now to show off your beautiful work. I'll be back for sure, so keep updating please ;)
